Meet Shane

Shane Spring joined Mintivo as our new Account Manager at the end of 2020, we asked Shane a few questions about his first few weeks with us.

 

What is your initial impression of Mintivo?

 

Outstanding company values really stick out for me, they bring the best out of the employee and upon joining that was evident even before my interview. I knew Mintivo was a great company to join. It’s very strange joining during these crazy times in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but it’s been great getting to get to know the Mintivo family through Microsoft Teams in the ‘Bored Room’ with everyone as if in the office and of course ‘the Minchester’ on a Friday after work for a few beers – “waiting for all this to blow over”. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel part of #TeamMintivo! I also really love how dedicated to the customer experience Mintivo are, everything I’m doing is all about adding value to their customers and making sure we continue to support businesses through technology.

 

 

What is your background?

 

Initially, I had an IT technical background ‘on the tools’ for over 10 years also becoming a team leader, I then moved across into new business sales and account management. Not afraid of new challenges and pushing myself and very much a people person, it has been apparent my real passion is for relationship building with people and adding value to companies through our products and services to help provide the best customer experience possible. Exceptional Customer Service is engrained in the roots of Mintivo and I look forward to continuing to grow the fantastic reputation Mintivo have.

 

What do you do outside of work?

 

Outside of work, I’m a big football fanatic, sadly being a Manchester United fan I have had a lot of grief the past few years! I love cycling and long hikes and I recently climbed Ben Nevis supporting the Youth Adventure Trust. I’m a frequent gym user mainly with spinning and RPM classes, spending precious time with family and looking after my little nephew. Also, have a muchly spoilt 11 stone St. Bernard dog called Baxter which keeps us entertained! I know Friends and The Office word for word, love Oasis and love to binge a box set on Netflix.

 

What’s your favourite holiday?

 

I have travelled a fair bit, I spent half a year in South East Asia and Australia in 2015. My favourite places were Vietnam as a whole, Koh Tao in Thailand and the mayhem on Gili T in Indonesia, all were absolutely incredible experiences.
