Mintivo’s Ed Goodall wins Future Tech Superstar award!
A few weeks ago, Mintivo was shortlisted in three prestigious Swindon & Wiltshire IT and Technology Awards categories and our very own, Ed Goodall, walked away with the Future Tech Superstar award. Other competitors in this category were InfiLED and Priority IT. The Future Tech Superstar category was created to acknowledge the achievements made by those under 25 years of age and those who demonstrate a clear passion and dedication to this sector.
Previous winners of this award, include: Daniel Curran, Infinity Nation (2019) and Leon Johnson, Render (2018).
It goes without saying that we would have been happy to walk away with any of the awards considering who we were competing against, but we’re thrilled to celebrate Ed’s success and contribution to future tech (and Mintivo). Since we’re spotlighting Ed, we thought we’d fill you in on exactly what makes Ed a superstar.
Getting to know Ed
Ed Goodall is a 20-year-old champ in his own right blazing a path for many young techies in the arena. At age 11, he was the youngest app developer to create an augmented reality (AR) app which was listed in the Apple Store.
When Ed joined Mintivo in 2019, he helped us excel in the IT Support we provide our clients and he is constantly looking for innovative ways to create better solutions. One example of the exciting work he has been doing is developing a bespoke Wi-Fi portal to manage the Guest network for our clients which ensures that guests have access to a separate network from the business.
We pride ourselves in delivering optimal Cybersecurity and Ed has developed a way to automate much of our laptop build process to ensure that every client laptop has the same baseline security and software setup to agreed specifications. This process is most efficient when delivering multiple laptop builds to our clients, and this is one way that his efforts have made our Exceptional Customer Service (ECS) delivery even better.
Charismatic, knowledgeable and personable…
Besides being a man with an impeccable work ethic, Ed always places the customer’s needs first. When faced with the task of having to explain the technical side of things to our clients, Ed always manages to translate technical jargon in a way that would make even a novice feel like they’re able to converse on an expert level. It comes as no surprise considering all of the positive feedback he gets from our clients.
What’s next?
For someone who is continually growing in his career, Ed’s future is looking extremely bright and we believe that this is only at the beginning of his award-winning streak. Our team has worked hard this year in all aspects of the business and to have been recognised for work in three categories validates everything that we’ve done as a team. It is an honour to have Ed represent our brand as the winner in the Future Tech Superstar category, but it’s even better that he can add another notch to his belt. We’re proud of what Ed has accomplished and we will continue to support him and provide training and development opportunities required for him to grow within the company. Congratulations, Ed!
